Dr. Sean Lee
“I practice a holistic approach to the patient with respect to their gastrointestinal health. My focus is on preventive care to promote colorectal screening, as well as trying to improve my patient’s quality of life with regards to their gastrointestinal symptoms. I practice a patient centered approach with an emphasis on patient education and clear communication with the physician. My practice involves general endoscopic procedures as well as advanced techniques including ERCP and the ReShape Weight Loss balloon.”
Dr. Lee began his medical training with an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University. He then earned a medical degree from University of Illinois. Once he was an MD, Dr. Lee chose to advance his expertise by doing an Internal Medicine Residency and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at University of Illinois.
Dr. Lee’s number one priority is working with his patients at Northshore Center for Gastroenterology. He maintains medical professional involvement with his active membership in ASGE – American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Lee specializes in general gastroenterology and hepatology along with advanced endoscopic techniques including ERCP and ReShape weight loss balloon therapy. He likes to focus on colorectal cancer prevention and screening along with treatment of inflammatory bowel disease and biliary conditions.
